Dr. Deborah Cohen, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Cohen was born and raised in Southern California and grew up with many dogs and horses; as a child it was her dream to become a veterinarian when she grew up. She left California when she was nineteen to pursue her education and studies at Colorado State University.

While in Colorado she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Anatomy and Neurobiology in 1994. Following graduation she moved to the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies to attend Veterinary School at Ross University. She spent 2 years on the island then moved back to the United States to finish her clinical year at Louisiana State University and graduated with her degree in 1998.

Since graduation she has stayed on the East coast and has been practicing Veterinary medicine here in Maryland and Virginia in small animal practices. Her primary focus is working with dogs and cats, and had acquired extensive experience within internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, behavior and nutrition.

Dr. Cohen is a very caring, compassionate and enthusiastic doctor, who is committed to providing a high quality of medicine for her clients and patients. She currently resides in New Windsor, MD. She has bird dogs, Quay, Mez and Peg and owns an amazing Sphynx cat named Zane. She is an avid horseback rider, loves working with her dogs and enjoys all outdoor activity.
